21823 Rudraksha Grove The blue marble tree is native to the Himalayan foothills (Nepal and India) and this grove was planted in Hawaii 30 years ago. The trees have intricate surface roots, green and bright red leaves and beautiful blue fruit. Wind and rain expose the stone (rudraksha in sanskrit). The stones are used as holy beads in Hindu and christian cultures. A light shower had just past and made the leaves glisten when I took this photograph in the dappled sun light. Note the blue fruit on the ground. |
