41604 Sierra moon

I scouted this location during the day and estimated when and where the moon will set the next morning. These estimates are not very accurate because of the different heights of the mountains. I returned the next morning in the dark, waited for the moon to touch the mountain top and made this image just before sunrise. Three horizontal images were joined together to make this panorama. A very large print (24x60 inches) is available.
